We need your help! In order to ensure accurate results at our swim meets, we cannot rely completely on the electronic timing system, especially when dealing with age group swimmers. Young swimmers are notorious for not touching the pad hard enough to signal an electronic hand touch. Therefore we are recruiting hand timers to pick up backup times for all of our home meets starting on December 7th. We will need 16 timers total plus 1 head timer. All timers will need to report to the pool deck 20 minutes before the start of the meet and meet with the head referee for a timers meeting not long before the races begin.
Once the event begins, we should have two timers per competition lane until the swim meet is completed. Backup times from the stopwatches will be written down on lane timer sheets which will be provided to the timers on a clipboard in the timers meeting. If either you, a family member or a friend are able to be a backup timer, please RSVP to be a timer for the event. Click the links below to signup to be a timer for our home meets!
Once you click the link for the meet you want to time for, you'll need to put in your first and last name, email and phone number. Click submit and you're signed up. Once you are signed up, plan on arriving on the pool deck 20 minutes prior to the start of the competition (not warm ups). Timers will normally meet under the big scoreboard for the timers meeting.
